Hari S Bhartia, together with his brother Shyam S Bhartia, is the Founder and Co-Chairman of Jubilant Bhartia Group (www.jubilantbhartia.com) headquartered in New Delhi, India.

The Jubilant Bhartia Group has a strong presence in diverse sectors like Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Food Service (QSR), Beverages and Auto Retail. The Group has four flagship companies listed on the Indian Stock Exchanges - Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Jubilant Ingrevia Limited, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited and Jubilant Agri & Consumer Private Limited and a global workforce of around 56,000 employees.

The Group, through its investments by Jubilant Pharmova Limited, has presence in the United States and Canada, with around 2,200 employees. Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, another Group company, is the master franchisee of Domino's Pizza, and is the largest operator of Domino’s network outside US.

Hari is the Co-Chairman, Non-Executive Director of Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Co-Chairman and Whole-Time Director of Jubilant Ingrevia Limited & Co-Chairman of Jubilant FoodWorks Limited.

With over four decades of experience and foray into diverse areas, Hari S Bhartia is a thought leader in his chosen areas of businesses. His vision is reflected in the Group’s commitment towards sustainable development and continued efforts directed towards protecting the environment and serving the community.

A Chemical Engineering Graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, Hari was conferred the Distinguished Alumni award by his alma mater in 2000. He has been associated in various capacities with the IIT system and with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Hari has rich industrial experience of over four decades in the pharmaceuticals and specialty chemicals, food, oil and gas (exploration and production) and aerospace sectors and has been instrumental in developing strategic alliances and affiliations with leading global companies.

Hari is a former President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) (2010-2011) and a member of several educational, scientific and technological programs of the Government of India. He is a former Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Raipur & Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He is currently Chairman of Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Visakhapatnam and Chairman of CII-Jubilant Food & Agriculture Centre of Excellence. He is also currently the Chairperson of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati.

Hari is a member of several CEO Forums, prominent being the India-USA CEO Forum and India-France CEO Forum, where he is the India co-chair. He is a regular participant at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council; Community of Chairpersons; Global Health and Healthcare Governors Community; Family Business Community. He was the Co-Chair of the Davos Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in 2015. Hari is also a Founding Member of Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP), a think tank based in Delhi.

Hari is a strong proponent of Corporate Social Responsibility. He, along with Shyam, established the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, whose efforts are directed towards community development with focus on Primary Education, Basic Healthcare services and Livelihood generation and creating an enabling ecosystem for Social Entrepreneurship. Under his leadership Jubilant Bhartia Foundation started the ‘Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award - India’, a joint initiative with Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, with an objective of recognising promising and successful social entrepreneurs in India. Jubilant Bhartia Foundation also established an incubation centre ‘BHARAT IMPACT’ under the Jubilant Bhartia Centre for Social Entrepreneurship for enterprises addressing Sustainable Development Goals in India.

His immense contributions have been recognised by various awards. He, along with his brother, Shyam S Bhartia were conferred the Life-Time Achievement Award 2024, by the Indian Chemical Council (ICC). In 2023 they were honoured with the prestigious ‘Global Leadership Award’ by The U.S. India Business Council (USIBC) in recognition of their exemplary contribution towards strengthening U.S.-India partnership over past three decades. They were also felicitated with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the prestigious AIMA Managing India Awards, presented by the President of India. The duo also shared the much-coveted Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Life Sciences and Consumer Products category. The Jubilant Bhartia Group companies have been recognised with various prestigious awards for excellence in corporate social responsibility, environment management and corporate governance.

Hari is married to Kavita, a leading Fashion Designer and Retailer. They have a daughter, Aashti and a son, Arjun.
